Should this be our last year of school?

I was hoping for some perspectives from people who don't have a particularly strong bias for or against homeschooling.

Technically, in our state we should qualify for services through the school as homeschoolers, but the district's Sp. Ed. director is less than supportive of that, and I probably would choose not to fight that battle.
