Time for another lovefest!

I don't know who remembers the lovefest we had here a few years ago. Basically, it was a thread where we all poured out our appreciation for each other. It was very uplifting.

I wanted to do another one for the holidays, but we have a lot more members now and a lot of newer members, so it might be hard to do an individual lovefest like last time without newer people/infrequent posters feeling excluded.

So how's about a *board* lovefest? Not mentioning names, we can say how coming to this board has helped us, some things we have learned and some of the support received, include little stories or anything you like.

Does that sound like a good idea?

Ok not to hijack, but I thought your post was interesting. When David was in the intensive care nursery, I always said one of the best things about staying at Ronald McDonald house was that there are people there who understand when you get excited because your 3 month old swallowed.lol. When we got home and David and I could not leave the house or have anyone over for 3 months, I found myself missing that. Missing just having someone understand. Someone to cheer a long with me when I gave him his first bath at 6 months rather than looking at me like I was crazy. Understanding is very underrated. If only I had had ivillage then lol. {Actually I was on ivillage then, but it was a lot different 6 years ago}

So to answer the post. I think this board is great! I have gotten information and links to resources that I never would have found on my own. You guys have the inside info that it is nearly impossible to find on any website, or in any book. You have the inside info that people get only from living it. I really appreciate the information as well as the understanding. You have no idea how wonderful it is to talk to people who do not think I am a bad parent, or that David is a bad kid. And I think most of all it has been wonderful to find that David is not alone in this, nor am I. If nothing else, when he grows up, he will be able to find other people who can understand and appreciate him, just the way he is, because there are other people like him out there. Until I found this board I didn't think there were. so Thank you!
