Hi Caren,

I just thought I'd pop back in and let you know that the play date went so well! There were a few moments here and there, Braden was so exciting about having him over that he wanted to show his friend everything, (he does not do well with transitioning from one thing to the next), but that was ok we just went with it :0) The mom emailed me and said that her little guy was talking about his time here, and actually said Braden's name :0) We have pics of the boys together, one pic is so cute. It was a very positive experience for everyone, we'll definitely do it again!

Caren - Thank you for your reply! My son has said that his friend will run to the bathroom when he gets upset at school, and also has a mat. Thank you for pointing out that those may be his "safe place" :0) I did ask her about snacks, and she said that he is really picky, so I suggested that if she thinks he may want a mid afternoon snack she is welcome to bring something along.

My son does not see his friend as different, he sees him a new junior kindergarten classmate who doesn't quite understand the rules :os Come to think of it, maybe it is bacause they both do not see each other as different. that they get along so well :0)
