So many people complain that their chid is scared or have trouble swallowing pills. We all have various methods of teaching children. My younger daughter had to have pills from the time she was still a toddler. It started as sprinkles (antihistimine type). I taught her with swallowing candy.

Now, it has been formally studied and a sure method has been formulated in Canada. Here is a video to help you teach your child how to swallow pills, and for your child to watch!

Yeah! All children need to learn BEFORE it is a necessity! But it sounds like your idea with tic tacs was the way to go. When I saw that girl shaking her head when she tilts her head back and swallows, I realized that's what I do! I had never analyzed it , so never realized!
