Ok....a bit of history here, since I think I have only posted here once....

I have 3 kiddos. N is 9yrs old, H is 7 yrs old,and M is 6 yrs old.

N's issues first started becoming apparent as a young toddler. Looking back there were signs from birth...she was quite the handful...LOL! She was put on a waitlist when she was 2 1/2 for a psychiatric eval...at 3 1/2 she was diagnosed ADHD/ODD,and at 4 1/2 they added the likelihood of Bipolar disorder as well. When she was 7 she was inpatiented on the child psychiatric unit for assessment for a month, and diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety disorder, sensory regulatory disorder, developmental coordination disorder, Non Verbal learning disorder, and probable Bipolar disorder. At 8 she was diagnosed with partial epilepsy, and now....today in fact, they said she has a verbal working memory impairment. So...what??? The strength of the NVLD is that they take everything in verbally...except N now, who can't???? So she can't take things in verbally, can't take them in written or drawn....? She is an amazing little girl....and it seems everytime we start to get one issue, there is another one that contradicts or complicates the other ones.

H is my "typical" one...but in reality, she is ADHD...LOL....but so much more typical then her siblings LOL

M...so far he is my puzzle boy. He was FTT from 1 yr to 3 yrs. Had a B12 deficiency, which has somehow resolved, and a strange antibody in his blood(anti smooth muscle antibody?). He was in the infant development program for issues with his speech and social development. He went through the autism assessment when he was 3, but they said that was not it. Fast forward to Kindergarten, and he is 6 yrs old. He cannot get his alphabet down. No problem with numbers. He cannot name more then 3 kids in his class's names at the end of the year. He cannot sit still. He recently graduated to parallel play, and has done some imaginative play, but not as much as expected. Last week he went through an assessment for Aspergers and a psych ed assessment, and we get the results on Monday. I suspect they will say adhd for sure....but not sure about the AS. He loves cars and numbers, and is a happy active boy!

So that is my little family in a nutshell LOL!

Hi and welcome. You have your hands full. I hope you can get some answers to help your little one in school. I have typical 6 yr old and Krisitn is turning 3. She has severe disablilities from a mysterious brain disorder they haven't come up with a real diagnosis for yet. Hope you find lots of support here. Kari

I had to laugh a little at your description, as I always say my middle child is my "typical" child yet he is severe ADHD if not more.
