I hope you dont think me rude, but I am new here. I was looking at your beautiful daughter in your avatar pic. I was wondering, does she have a trache? It looks like she has one in the pic, but I may just be used to seeing them, so anything white looks like a trache to me, sorry.

HI there. No, thankfully she doesnt' . Does your dd? There is a mom on the hypotonia board whose little girl does if you're interested. It does look kind of funny now that you mention it though. I hadn't noticed it before. Kari

NO, not as of yet. Though I think we would do the jaw distraction before the trache tho. It really depends on how well her airway holds up while she gets normal illnesses and if her jaw is affecting her breathing too much.


Its just something in the back of my mind all the time.


A great number of Pierre Robin kids have traches, so I see them alot in the PRS playgroup. Its pretty common for PRS kids.
