Sorry guys - I forgot to do roll call yesterday.
Hi. Kari here. Kristin brings me here. She is 2 1/2 with a brain disorder and severe global delays, seizures and tube fed... I don't do well with these questions about me. Its because I have no life of my own anymore I think! I love to play volleyball! maybe one day I'll have time to play again.
As far as the board, it seems a little more active lately. Its a tough one because there is such a range of kids and dd can mean so many things and we have a lot of different ages going. I wish I had a great suggestion for you. I love it hear because IRL people just don't get what its like and how hard every day can be. And no one will fire you for being a day late with roll call!!
On another note we got a wheelchair accessible van this week and I LOVE it!! Just wanted to share.
I am Jenna, I'm new to this board.
I have a daughter with Developmental Delay. She is 8.5 but functions between 3-4 ish.
I have another daughter with a progressive genetic syndrome who requires much medical care, but is doing very well right now.
I pop on the Cleft Lip and Palate Board, Craniofacial Board, Visual Impairment board and most of the debate boards.
Fun fact? Hmmmm, I love to read.
*Praying for my best friend, my Dad*
Im Amy, still here i lurk more than i post..
My daughter Rylee(3) is who brings me to this board, shes been diagnosed with anxiety disorder, sensory processing disorder, and she has a receptive/expressive language delay. just waiting for the day when a dr. gets the balls to finally admit shes high functioning autistic!
a fun fact about me, mmm not sure how fun this is but im currently obsessed with tanning! the tanner i am the happier i am for some reason! ha
Marina, Roll Call, SchRoll Call. You're doing great. :)
OK, Mary and Devon present.Devon is now 2 yrs. and is growing like a weed. She is becoming more and more attached to us. Devon shows us she loves us now, tugging at my clothes. Smiling and laughing with us lots, touching our faces, pulling my bangs. She says hi now, which is so CUTE!
Fun fact about myself?....?I like to eat and will travel far and wide for a good meal. Last fri, we drove to Philly for cheesesteaks from NYC!And we LOVE it! Got ours from Tony Luke's and they were yummy! Would go back for more!
Hi, I'm Allison, and Brigid brings me here.
Carol here, mom to Megan.
Fun fact - yikes, I'm really not very fun anymore. I love to cook, love to eat, love to read, go to movies, and spend time on message boards. :-) But what I mostly do when I'm not working, taking care of kids, or cleaning/cooking is collapsing on the sofa and watching mindless TV at night after the kids are in bed.
Ideas for the board? No idea. Marina - you're doing an awesome job. It's just been quiet. It always goes in cycles. Hopefully it will pick up again soon.
Hi Marina, you are doing a great job here! I'm Holly, mom to Anna, age 7. I mostly lurk these days over here. Anna started out with microcephaly and failure to thrive at 6 months of age, and since has added lots more labels including hypotonia, high myopia, developmental delay, sensory processing disorder, sleep problems, PDD-NOS, MR, and epilepsy.
Fun fact about myself? I make siggies on Signature Showcase, I'm self-taught in Photoshop (started in November) and I LOVE it!
Jan & Matthew checking in from SE Michigan where we are having some lovely weather.
