Anxiety Panic SID Gifted

My Daughter was diagnosed with SID when she was a baby, but the older she gets the worse her anxiety and panic attacks have become. We are getting to where we are almost housebound. This is by her choice. My husband is BiPolar type 2 and I get very concerned that she may take after him though she shows no signs of depression or up times. She is a very happy, easy going child and is great around kids like cousins that she knows, but any new children or a new situation or anything out of the norm in her routine she goes downhill fast- looses all color in her face, gets a funny feeling in her tummy and throat like she wants to throw up, shakes, gets pain in her stomach- like sharp pains. She will calm down within 5-15 minutes depending on the severity of the attack.

I don't want another diagnosis on her record, no medications that are gonna dope her up. Does anyone know of anything that is good natural? I like to go natural if we can. She has no problems sleeping as long as she is in bed with me.

I am at my wits end between dealing with a husband that is constantly depressed or housebound and a Daughter that is going thru similiar things.

I find myself being housebound too which is not good.

Anyways any advice would be great.

Trish :)

I am a SPD adult and have panic, anxiety. I have found breathing exersizes to help a lot, but in all reality I have been on meds for a while now. I know there are mothers here who have children with anxiety issues who will be able to give u some great advice :)

Hi - would you mind telling me how your child (I'm assuming it's your child we're speaking about) was first diagnosed with SID and what the symptoms were like?

Anxiety is seperate from SPD. My ds has SPD but apparently not worthy of having OT. I have some home exercises and really didnt feel very educated from the OT, so we do some but feel in the dark about it.

As for the anxiety, I think bk to how obvious it was, but never put it together, he also has ADHD among other things, so I think I thought it was that stuff. The first panic attack in front of me was when I really put the anxiety together.
