Hi, I'm Vicki. We just found out our 4y/o dd has SPD. I will introduce myself more when I have more time but she REALLY wants to ride a bike but she doesn't have the trunk strength or ability to do it. She needs a tric that is low to the ground. She as a big wheel but it is really niosy and she wants to be more like her friends. We also have a radio flyer but it is too hight off the ground. Or maybe we should look into a 3wheeled scooter?? Any advice on something with wheels we can get her so she can zoom around with her friends and get that sensory inpput she needs from it?

I know its not a bike or a trike... But have you considered a plasmacar? My son has one. At 9, He is still on a smallish two wheeler with training wheels, and his first choice when everyone is on their bikes is the PlasmaCar. The Plasmacars are really easy to get going, Use very little/no leg strength. Very easy to maintain balance on. Check them out on E-bay. Yes they are a bit up there in price, but are well made and last practically forever. http://cgi.ebay.com/PlasmaCar-Plasma-Car-Green-Childs-Ride-Car-Toy-Bike-/190453750223?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c57ed99cf
