Last year when Gabe went Trick or Treating he became very anxious when we traveled out of site of his house. He also was a space cadet and had a hard time staying with the group. This year I am hoping he can do a little better. He is excited to me Mario from Super Mario Brothers.

We are going to use social stories for Trick or Treat night. I think it will really help him.

Are you guys using anything to help your kids with Halloween?

The biggest concern for me at this point is DS getting enough rest so that he can stay up a little later than usual and still be able to function. I've noticed that when he is tired, has a change in his normal schedule, or is overly stimulated by what's going on around him (which Halloween will be all of those lol), he is much more likely to have a meltdown. So my plan is to get lots of rest and mental relaxation during the day, so that we'll be able to have a pleasant evening as a family.

Crossing our fingers. :)
