Causes of SPD

What do you think of this list. If you had to guess whicxh do you think caused SPD for you or your child? For my kids and myself I say Inheritancxe (I'd have perfered money lol) but also we live in a very high toxic area (Less than a mile from love canal) and my family goes bacxk two generations here so..... who knows

Hmm... interesting list. :) I guess for me my SPD is considered a fluke. According to what's listed I don't fit any of the catergories. However, based on the eval. I had from the OT, she thinks I was born w/ it. Especially since I was DXed and treated

from last list I bolded the ones that fit Abigail:

- Inheritance
- Prenatal trauma
(chemicals, substances, stress, dehydration, malnutrition, etc.)
- Prenatal Stroke or illness
- Premature labor/premature birth
- Long labor period
- Induced labor
Breech birth
- Jaundice - severe
- Other birth trauma
- Vaccines/inoculations
- Mercury/lead/other metal poisons
- Post birth trauma/illness/surgery
- Sensory deprived environment in early life (usually institutions)
- Food intolerances/allergies
- Illness or head injury at any point in life
