my 6 year old son has recently been diagnosed with sensory processing disorder and I am scrambling a bit trying to figure out what I can do to help him!

I'm reading the book The Out of Sync Child and it talks about issues with sitting at a chair at the dinner table because their childs feet don't touch the ground and they feel off balance.

My DS is 10, he was diagnosed with sensory processing disorder when he was 3 and later with PDD-NOS. He had issues with sitting at the table too. When he was 4 and my DD was 2 I bought them both Trip Trap type chairs. We got ours from One Step Ahead. These chairs grow with the child, we still have them and the kids still use them.

Here is the link to One Step Ahead

these are a little different design from the ones I got 6 years ago

Also google Trip Trap Chair. The One Step Ahead are cheaper.

Good Luck!
