Hello iVillage Members!

As you can see, the board changes I posted about last week went into effect earlier this week, and I wanted to check in with all of you to see if anyone is having issues.  Our Community Director, Jess, has been posting updates on our tech teams progress, here is a link to the latest one on iVillage Help:

http://www.ivillage.com/forums/ivillage-women/around-ivillage/ivillage-help/ivillage-help/message-board-fixes-updates#new

You can ask any questions you might have on this forum, on this thread, or email me at pboards@mail.ivillage.com.

Thanks for your patience as we work through these issues, we appreciate it!

Hey Melissa,

It's great this board is now up!  Yay!  I'm still struggling to get several of the posts to open (ex: the one below from Gwen).  I figure it is a matter of time.  Maybe today will be the day!

We had problems during the migration of data with some member names, and getting it fixed is on the high priority list. You'll see some of them coming up as a visitor on the board. If there is a visitor post on a thread prior to the changeover, than the system can't make the association to a member name and thus causing an error when trying to view it. I hope that makes sense ;) Anyways, hoping for that to be fixed soon, so stay tuned. Let me know if you have any other issues!

Hey Melissa,

I know they have fixed a number of the visitor issues.  Gwen's string below is one that still needs some work.  I've noticed my ID seems to have migrated as "visitor", so many of the threads I'm watching have taken some time.  Interestingly, some of the threads are now visible, but not all - and with the same "visitor" origination.  Might also explain why I can't set preferences.  Maybe they need to look into some commonality there.

Hmm, that's an interesting theory, I'll pass that on. What threads are you still getting an error message on so I can give those to the tech team?

This board.  Specifically, Gwen's post Is there a age/point of development when stimming peaks?

There are a few others, but I need to run out the door.  I'll come back to this post tonight.

Why don't you hold off on that, I was told that they are going to do another run of data through, so hopefully that will fix it . I don't have a time frame, but will let you know what I find out. Thanks!

Ok.  That sounds good.  I did find another one before coming back here to respond.  It's on the Behavior and Developmental Delays board - Have many questions: hypotonia, expressive language delay, motor delays, attention issue and pica

The last poster (me) is listed as Visitor, so it may be the same problem.
