My DS (age 7) is almost always chewing his shirt, neck warmer, etc.

yes it could be! I still chew on the front of my shirt and my hair lol.


At the OT ass. they usually observe and have you fill out a sensory profile. It really is non evasive and shouldn't take a super long time. My son also has major food adversions. It's a PITA I know. I hope all goes well ((HUGS))

My DS did this as well. There were times the whole front of his shirt would be completely wet & twisted. This was long before I had even heard of SID. I do believe it was on the evaluation I filled out for his OT too. Luckily he doesn't do it any longer, but it was a big thing for him. Maybe we taught him to stop?

I stopped because I hated the way my wet shirt felt on my skin yuck.

I LOVE this board!!! Simon is a major chewers!! The fronts of his shirt *wet and twisted* also and his sleves. Hes not big on the wet feeling so he changes.

I'm just now trying to find out if my daughter has SID, but I had to respond to this! My daughter used to chew her shirt all the time.

Sometimes they quit chewing the shirt and find other things to oraly violate!!
