Hi Kim, welcome to the board! I agree with Caren that you should get him evaluated so you know for sure or not. It's scary to have your child diagnosed with a disorder, but it's also a relief in a way because you can then understand what is causing his reactions and you'll know how to respond. It's also so important to get early intervention, it can do so much good especially when you can start them young.

I agree with the other 2 people. If you're worried that there may be something wrong, it won't hurt to check it out and know for sure what's going on. I know in my situation my parents (both elementary school teachers) insisted that there was nothing wrong with my son. The pediatrician referred us to early intervention and it turned out he does have sensory integration disorder.
