Excepting CL for the sensory board.

Hello everyone. My name is Jessie and I just excepted the CL position for the sensory processing disorders board. I hope I can do a great job and offer support and new ideas to those who have children with sensory issues.

A little about me. I am 30 years old and I have two wonderful children. Gabriel is 4 years old and Zane is 6mo old. I work a part time job as a respiratory therapist. I have one fur baby named Milo. He was a lost kitty that we opened our home to.

My oldest son is what brings me to this board. He has autism spectrum disorder. Along with his ASD he has SID, apraxia, and few other issues. Gabe has been in therapy 3-4 days a week for 2 years now. We just recently started wraparound services to address behavior issues and to help with social interaction with peers.

In two years Gabe has come a long way. I am very proud of all that he has done!

I hope I can lead this board and help others in need as I was helped when I first came to this board.

If you have any ideas that would help increase the activity on here let me know. I am open to any and all suggestions!

To discribe nuerofibromatosis would make it sound like all gloom and doom when it is not all that rare. It's basically tumors that appear on the skin and can be in the brain and on the nerves. This pregnancy has gone by fast!!!! We are having girl # five naming her Devoni Rose :)

Thanks. I hope I can do an okay job. You were really good at being the CL. I was sad to see you go. What is nuerofibromatosis? I have never heard of it. I hope Nellie is okay. And I see you are getting down to the end of your pregnancy!! Woo hoo...that's awesome. Do you know what you are having? I swear you just told us you were pregnant! Well good luck to you. Make sure to stop by and give us an update on that little peanut you are going to have soon. And of course on the rest of the family.

Wow I'm glad to see you got it :) You'll do great. How is Gabe doing? Nellie is being tested for nuerofibromatosis next week. I don't get on here nearly as much as I should, but will try to :) Congrats Jessie you are perfect for this board.

Yay thanks for stopping by. I know you from the pdd/aspie board. It's great to see you over hear too. If you have any good sensory diet ideas...feel free to share!
