Do you sometimes cop out of explaining SPD to people?


I took CME to a birthday party at Pump It Up, an inflatable playground. The teens who worked there wanted to put a stamp on his hand, but I knew it would cause a huge ordeal and ruin the morning, so I asked them not to.

I have had SI issues all my life and now my dd has them too...I have always found that the "allergy" card works very well in

I find that just saying SPDisorder helps. Most people only hear the disorder part. Then I add a line like "thats just too much for him, thats to hard for him to handle, etc..


For those who seem intrigued and have more time I explain using autism, and adhd as comparisons. since there are similarities that people can relate to. ~ love my red
