Hi. I'm new here although I've lurked from time to time. A brief background: My son, now 7 yrs, was diagnosed by a neurologist a couple years ago as possibly having sensory integration disorder. At this point we have not had any OT because he has not had any problems in school as seems to be making great improvements as he has gotten older.
My specific question is whether anyone's child here has had a problem passing the typical vision screening they do at school and at doctor wellness visits? My son's eyes are extremely sensitive to light and I'm not sure if this can be a factor when he takes the eye tests. This year and last, he has not done very well on the tests but I notice him squinting from the lights in the doctor's office. I will be making him an appointment soon with an ear, eye, nose, and throat doctor, but was wondering if anyone has had any experience with something similar?
