My suggestion would be to buy or borrow a copy of the book: THE OUT OF SYNC CHILD. Highlight or bookmark the pages that apply to your child. After reading this book I really believe all daycare and teachers should have to read it as part of their studies. If you have never read it...you need to!!!! It has opened my eyes to my child's issues and also other children. I think how quick I may have been to judge a "bad child" at the mall or the parent and boy... I FEEL AWFUL knowing the child(ren) may have had something they could not control.

I went on amazon.com and got several used books on the topic of Sensory Dysfunction.

GOOD LUCK!!!! And keep being the awesome mom you are!

Have you had a meeting with them yet about your daughters condition? They might not have an understanding of what she goes through and more so how to deal with her actions. YOu should give them some suggestions and try to help them understand.

When my DS switched to the 1 yo room at daycare, his teacher was complaining within the first 2 weeks that he did not sit for meals or activities, banged his cup on the table and undid all the safety locks in the room. He would also never lay down for a nap. Most of these things we knew and struggled with at home too. I do not have any answers...I took him out of that school b/c I was going to stay at home and she left the school a few months later. Good luck!
