Denise,

What a relief for you to finally have some knowledge that you can actually help your son with! My son is 2 1/2 and we have been working with him since he is 1 in Early Intervention. It wasn't until recently that we were able to start pin-pointing more of his sensory issues and start addressing them. We just started with an OT which has been a God send for him and us. He absolutly loves working with her and she is just the right fit for him. She is ALL ABOUT sensory and has been working with it for almost 20 years. I too have been meaning to get that book and quite a few others. I am so excited to finally be able to find some ways to work with my son that he loves and benifits from. It is a whole new world to me, so I am soaking up as much info as I can right now! Welcome to the board, I am new here

Isn't it amazing to finally have some answers. I remember when Leanna was dx'ed I was like oh wow that explains a lot. Then I put the peices together and since then I have been dx'ed, my oldest child and my 2 yo was dx'ed at 10 months. It's been a rollercoaster. It was Leanna that brought me here to this board origanally and I have learned so much. I hope we can help you out with anything you need and please feel free to vent when nessassary too :)
