SID is not as well known as some other disorders, how do you explain it to the people that your child interacts with?

I'll also just sort of address the issues that seem to be bothering him. "He doesn't like loud noises " Nobody ever seems to treat him differently though.

I read this the other day and I have thought about it alot. For the most part when a child is sensitive to something it may be easier to "explain." My son is sensory seaking and so he just looks like a wild child alot and he doesnt listen to me or the 10 nice down on his level warning i give him. I havent let people know that he has SPD unless they are close friends
