Im New and Need HELP

I am new here and I am not getting answers from the doctors. I have two kids with this issue. I have a 2 year old twin that is delayed in speech, fine motor skills, and upper body strength, melt downs, afraid of being alone etc. I also have a 5-year old that cannot have shirts with tags, socks are always too small or too big, pants never fit right, he always needs a belt, Throws fits over the smallest things. Yesterday I moved something and he had a melt down because he couldn't remember where it was EXACTLY. We can't open anything. he has to be the one to shut the light off, let the dog out... but only when he notices that we are about to do it. I am ready to lose my mind. I find myself yelling so much and I hate that. Everyone thinks my child has ADHD that meets him. Its like people cannot stand him because to other people he just is a brat.

i think u should look into seeing a neuropsych, ur son sounds to me and again this is just my opinion that hes exhibiting some anxiety and ocd tendencies that can go hand and hand with sensory issues.

Good Luck & lots of (((hugs))) ur way!

Hi Sarah welcome to the board. A trampaline could help with burning energy and sensory. I have to agtree with pp though that the book "The Out Of Sync Child" Could help tremendously. Also if you don't feel like the ot is helpinjg you can request a new one or sit down with her and ask a ton of questions to get the answers you want, I have found ot's are more than willing to answer all my questions lol.
