Now I want to begin by saying that I understand how difficult if not impossible it is to pin down the disorders that plague our kids, but blankety, blank, blank, bleep!

I am so sorry :( Have you talked to your daghters OT to get her opinion? That's where I would start as they see the children more than the doc.

Personally, before starting any medication I would make sure to get another opinion. If she's seeing an OT has there been any progress, what does the OT think? Could you take her to another doc for a 2nd opinion?

LOL, I just went and looked at the DSM-IV for ADHD, seriously, how can one tell the difference between SPD & ADHD. I personally say, if OT works then why look elswhere? If OT is not working then perhaps meds may be needed.

I don't blame you ... the whole reason I found SPD was because I

I full agree with everthing else these ladies have suggested to you, also... read up on ADHD yourself. My SPD loks adhd when he gets over stimmulated (which can be very easy to do a times). Look at the circumstances around when you are seeing these "adhd" symptoms. Docs only see our kids in moments, you have to fill in the rest of the day.

Oh yeah, that is a good point. My doc had never even heard of SPD until I asked for his referral. He would be the type who asks if I would like my DS to try some meds ::roll eyes::
