You know your child might have sensory processing disorder....

-when a drop of water gets on his sleeve and he reacts like it's some kinda of acid thats eating his skin.
-the first thing he puts on after his bath are his socks. We have to keep the socks on at ALL times.

I was wondering what little quirks you first noticed, that made you go hum? :)

I do know about the water even just a couple drops of water and he had to change what ever it was on.Yep he would get really upset and have to change clothes. The worst was sand on his hands. He loves to play in the sand but can't stand for his hands to be dirty. That has gotten better know that he is 7.

Sherri,

That's too funny!! My son used to do the exact same thing with the water thing, although he has gotten better with this. But he STILL puts his socks on first when he gets out of the bathtub!!!! lol

The FIRST thing was clothing. As soon as my dd could talk she let me know that most clothes bothered her. She hates socks and shoes. AND water on her clothes sent her into hysterics until she was about 4. Now she simply takes her clothes off if they get wet.
