I have an almost 4 year old son that I believe shows some signs of Sensory Integration Disorder.

Hi Leah! First, kudos to you to want to do the best thing for your child. If you are in Colorado, you are in MAJOR luck (the Star Center just south of Denver is one of a kid - founded by the Lucy Mille), if not I don't know what things your state can offer. My suggestions are the following: check out sensoryplanet.org - there are a lot of local groups on there of parents with kids who have SPD. They can certainly help point you in the right direction. Also, if you are near a larger city and have a children's hospital a lot have programs for this now too. Also, you may check with your county/state. Ours here has an early intervention program for kids and they will do a free eval and offer OT help, etc. I would say though, stick with your intuitions. You are the mom. If you think something is off, chances are you are right!! People may be negative with you, but if you think he needs help, find it. Lots of supportive hugs.
