First off my name is Laura and I have a son who was recently dx with SI. He is 22months old and for the past couple months he has been having this violent tantrums. I thought he was just been a brat. My mom heard him on the phone one time and said that is not normal. We took him the ER and they said its normal. So one day during one of his episodes my husband video taped him. We took it to childrens hospital ER they said its not normal. I finally found a psycologist who specializes in his age group. He doesnt qualify for OT cause its a mild case. His temper has gotten worse. All u have to say to him is "Please dont touch the computer"he goes off. He bangs his head on the floor and its just breaks my heart. I got two books "the out-of-sync child" and "The sensory-sensitive child". There are days were I want to sell him on e-bay or the blackmarket but he is my son and he needs me. Otherwise he is such a smart little boy who smiles alot. I wish he can talk so he can tell why he is angry.. I tell him every time he is done with his episode that mommy dont like your behavior and he just looks up. WE never give in no matter how much he screams otherwise its like a power struggle. We praise him everytime he accomplish something or listens..I am just so tired of being tired. Well, thanks for listen.. His psycologist is coming over tomorow for behavorial therapy..YIPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE..

His family dont get it..grrrrrrrrrr..Thanks for the warm welcome..Does any of your husbands understand what we are going through??

Now andrews psycologist wants him to go to a preschool for 2hrs 3x's a week but cant find a funded one except for headstart;but u have to be 3. I am letting my parents read the out of sync child. Maybe I should buy every one of my inlaw a book..they have a computer maybe they should do research...
