Hope you can help

We sure can try to help :) The first thing you want to do is have her looked at by an Occupational Therapist. They are the ones who dx SPD and also treat it. SPD is a nurological disorder 1 in 20 children have. The definition is the brains inability to process the information coming in from the senses. These children can be over active (sensory seekers), or underactive. Basically they are over sensitive to the world around thm: lights, sounds, touch etc. They tend to have outburst and fits because of this. With proper treatment (OT) which is basically exersizes and also learning self control these kids go on to lead very happy, successful lives. I have found children with SPD also xcel in crtain subjects like math, problem solving etc. If you want to share what some of her behaviors are we may be able to give you some pointers that will help :)
