You're talking 'tough' as in a fighter ... emotional. I'm talking about the amount of novicane given while at the dentist office type of pain. In fact that is how I first heard of it. My dentist asked if I was born a redhead & so I started to look into it.

Dont' think so.... I come from a family of red heads, but my hair is now brown & was more auburn growing up. I don't think my mother or siblings had any of this (5 kids in the family) except me.

Although... it does appear red heads do experience more pain. It has something to do with a dysfunctional MC1R which triggers of a hormone which also stimulates the brain's pain receptors.

I know when I'm in pain I'm grouchy ;-) But try growing up with 5 of them!!!
