and share your child's sensory story in a get to know your board mates.
I'm Jessie part time working mommy to Gabe and Zane. Gabe has SID and was dx'd around 2 1/2. He also has autism spectrum disorder and speech/language issues.
Gabe is a sensory seeker to the max. He loves to jump, climb, run, spin in circles, flap his hands, make silly noises, put everything in his mouth, sometimes bites (when excited) us, and loves to give BIG HUGE hugs.
We used to do brushing and have used things such as weighted backpacks, heavy lifting, tugging, pulling. We use a spin type seat sometimes to help Gabe sit and eat dinner. We use chewy toys and pacifiers to help ease Gabe's oral sensory issues.
