I know that the OT that we work with has quite a few teen clients! I would absolutly go for an eval and work on some of the issues! They can work on getting them under more control, if not gone, and your son will feel more secure!

Hello and welcome to the board. I have had SPD ever since I could remember and never knew what it was until my children were dx'ed. I just always thought I was weird. I would see if you could get ot, but if you can't know that he will adjust. Will he ever be able to face his sensory issues that's hard to say I haven't. I can however cope with them and am no longer looked at as strange. Just be sure he understands SPD and that he is not weird. Self esteem is important at his age and he needs to know being different is ok.
