That does seem pricy, maybe it would be better to just get them yourself. As for weights----bags of rice do the same :)

You should be able to copy them without a problem...according to DH and he should know he does all kinds of recording stuff with his music....and mimi backpacks with a 20oz bottle of soda works great too...here is picture with gabe and his backpack....he hates putting it on but we love it because he walks beside us when he is wearing it and can focus on what he is doing instead of running around like a mad man!!! I have found some pretty cheap weighted blankets online...I'll look for the sites and post them for you if you would like...

Here's what I was told:

You HAVE to use those sonnenheimer (or however you spell it) headphones, or else the modulation won't come through correctly.

I don't understand why it can only be sonnenheimer headphones, if the output is better than sonnenheimer? I even went to go look at the site, Vital Sounds, who makes the CDs & sells the headphones, they used different versions of the sonnenheimer with different Ohms & Hz. On the paperwork the OT gave us it doesn't say it has to be sonnenheimer, but it does have to be 65 Ohms & 22,000 Hz. From what I read on the Internet Ohms has to do with the output of sound from the device.

Usually portable headphones are greater than 65 Ohms, too keep the sound from becoming too loud. So anything below 65 Ohms would pick up more sound, therefore, if I understand correctly 40 Ohms is better than 65 Ohms. But what I don't know if the 40 Ohms let in too much sound?

The headphones she sent

I am not really sure why copying would be a problem...matt said he wouldn't know why it would do that....but maybe the recoding eq he uses is why...he records music with special eq....or maybe those CD's have some kind of burn protector on them that won't allow them to be copied...not sure...but matt the recoding expert is at a loss as to why that would happen...who knows....

oops, have the wrong Ohms !!! I somehow got 65 or 60 Ohms in my head while researching headphones. The Ohms are supposed to be 150, nothing more, nothing less.

The OT called Vital Sounds and they said it absolutely has to be 150 Ohms.

And it appears the higher the Ohm the more expesnive, so I must have been completely wrong on this. In fact it appears the only headphones I can find with 150 Ohms is Sennheiser.

Blah!

Oh well Vital sounds does have one pair for $65, that is cheaper than renting from OT.

Just to make you feel more at ease of the cost, no one in my area has these programs at all, id pay just about anything to hook Simon up. I was willing to drive five hours and pay 10 days worth of motel, take a week off
