So I became fed up with OT. She was disorganized and one time I watched the clock. We started 15 minutes late, then she made a 7 minutes personal call, then she took 9 minutes picking out a new CD for my DS. Then when you add the time to set up the food table & then write notes for the week she was spending 15 minutes one-on-one time with my DS. With the amount of money and time invested I was becoming too bitter to continue.
This was a few weeks ago. Now I find it hard to believe by doing one activity with my DS a week was the winning ticket. Although, since quitting he does seem to be losing focus & attention span. I would believe it had more to do with the Listening program.
Is this only provided through a therapist or does anybody know of a way to do this from home w/o a therapist? The above therapist was the only one my insurance covered for children sensory issues.
