Well, there has been nothing exciting or traumatic here unlike Lauren and Julie, hope you guys are ok. I still really do not like these new boards which is why I'm not around much. We are approaching our IEP meeting for Jessie's first year in High schoolnext year. I have so many questions for them and we have so much to work out, my list keeps getting longer and longer. I feel like Charlie Brown and the school district is Lucy. We still have not been able to get the scooter for my daughter. She is having more problems walking, pain in the ankles ,hips. We do not need or want an electric wheel chair and she can not propel herself in a manual so we really need the scooter and that doesn't seem to be happening.OUr insurance company would be happy to have us carry dd aound. I really wish the decision makers had a clue what it was like having a disabled child. We are filing a complaint with the state insurance board but I really donot expect anything to come of it. I don't know what we will do for next year since she is not going to be able to get from class to class and I will have to be home everyday whenever she gets home to help her off the bus. Which, I would not have to do if she had the scooter. It is so frustrating, she is disabled enough to need help 24/7 but not enough for us to get any help. Other than that and the fact that my other daughters feet are hugh and keep growing (they are realy starting to get in the way LOL) everything is ok here. Oh yeah, my 4 year old who I just registered for kindergarten tells me he is not going.

You know, we went thru the not going to kindergarten thing, too. I'd forgotten all about that.

The scooter thing is unreal. What in the world is up with these insurance companies? They totally don't see the big picture, do they? I'm really sorry that you're having to go thru all that. What a pain.

High school...EEK!!!! Don't even let me think it for a while, OK?

Good luck with all this! It's good to see you...try to check in when you can, OK?

Lauren
