Dealing with a concussion.....

Last Thursday my son was at basketball practice and hit heads with another child. He had a big bump over his left eye and said that his vision was blurry so I took him to emergency. The CAT scan was normal and we wen't home. Next day all OK and the weekend was great. On Monday morning the headache, dizziness, nausea and vomiting started. Back to the doctors and another CAT scan. Still all ok with the brain, but now he is dealing with post concussion symptoms. He has missed 4 days of school and we don't know when this is going to end. We see the neurologist today. I hope this all clears very soon. I was talking with a friend whose grandchild hit his head 20 months ago and still has post concussion symptoms. He missed his 7th grade and still has a tutor this year. Hopefully by next week he is back to himself. This is all very scary.
