Well my ds Devin just had his eye examine done. The Dr says he needs glasses. He says his vision is 20-70 in both eyes. He says his combined vision is about 20-60. I am clueless about the last part on how a combined would be less wouldn't it be the same? The good thing is eye masters next door was having their 2 pair of eye glasses for 99 dollar sale. So latter today we will be picking up my babies first pair's of glasses. I know hes 10 but part of me is said about this but its not a complete shock either. I was just hoping he would have my vision no glasses need so far for me. Dawn

Well today was Devin's first day at school with his glasses. So far he really likes his glasses. He told me that he can now read the board with no problems. Their are about 5 other kids in his class with glasses so I don't think their will be any problems this year.As far as insurance goes they paid for the eye exam but do not pay anything toward children's glasses which makes no sense to me. That sounds like what my dh pays for his glasses but now he wears contacts.I am sorry to hear that its so expensive. On a funny note we where picking out Devin's glasses. He was like man glasses are so cheap I am surprised that all the glasses aren't sold out. They are only .99 cents for 2 pair. He misunderstood their sign that said 99 dollars for 2 pair. I wish glasses could be that cheap.

How where you able to tell so early on that your ds needed glasses? How where you able to make sure he kept them on? Yes he defiantly doesn't stand out their are at least 5 other kids in his class that wears glasses. So that really helps. Today was his first day at school with his glasses. He told me mom I can finally read the board. He really seems to like his glasses and I can tell he was showing them off some too. I think it will help that his daddy wear glasses and contacts. I told him maybe latter on when his a teenager we may look into getting contacts but not yet. He really
