Amaris is in PT, OT, and ST and is so HIGHLY resistant that we are getting absolutely NOTHING constructive done the entire time we're there.

Lurker popping in....

How old is your daughter, is she under three? If so, and I don't know where you live but you may want to look into your state's birth to three program? Each state has one but they vary greatly on admission requirements and services offered.

Hi Sandra Thanks for the reply,

I agree 110% that B-3 is not for everyone! Trust me! My 8yr old ds was in B-3 and it was fine for slp and ed but his Ot and PT I hired private, we had more options for pool therapy, hippo

How old is Amaris and have you considered doing therapy in your home or her daycare/preschool? I've read the other responses and it's possible she is being manipulative or you need to keep looking for therapists that can fit her needs. My odd, 7yo, is completely different when I'm around as opposed to the sp. ed providers. It's gotten to the point that I refuse to let them know I'm observing. Besides, it really bugs me when they let her get away with acting kind of babyish. I can only keep quiet for so long, lol. I know this is frustrating. Keep exploring your options and let us know what happens.
