My name is Kristina and I thought about coming to this board to share a book that I'm almost finished reading. It's called "Son-Rise The Miracle Continues" by Barry Neil Kaufman. It's an excellent book that I recommend to you to read. My aunt suggested to me to read this book and it's amazing. I have a cousin who has been diagnosed with Autism, and she is slightly autistic. Apparently, she was fine until she had her first vaccinations done, and then everything went downhill. Anyway, she is turning 12 in January and she is doing better, but still has some difficulty at times.

Anyway, the book is about a child who was diagnosed to be Austistic and was told by professionals that he will never be cured and that they should just put him in an institution since he wouldn't talk or walk. The parents didn't by it, which got them to start up a "home-program" for their son, which in the end helped their son immensely and proved wrong to all the professionals. Barry and his wife are now cofounders and codirectors of The Option Institute and Fellowship, which offers programs for people either challenged by adversity or trying to improve the quality of their lives.

It's an excellent book, and at the back of the book their is address where you could write to the Institute.

Thanks for reading this, I just wanted to share this to you guys.
