Shame on me! LOL
Been busy getting settled into the new apartment. Gosh, we've been here since the middle of July and we're still not settled!
Sammy is in 3rd grade and doing pretty well considering. She's at a new school and even has a new "fiancee". His name is Presley and goes to special ed with her, he loves her and is marrying her... Do you remember the BF of 1st and 2nd grade, Sam, whom I'm pretty sure she has forgotten by now. Oh, she's getting ready to go to special olympics bowling in a few weeks. She's so excited she can hardly contain herself.
Ruby is in her second year of head start, she's also at a new site because we moved across town, so she doesnt' have the same teachers she did last year, they were Sammy's old teachers and one of them even worked at Sammy's old daycare when she was a baby, so I've known her for almost 9 years. Anyways, I'm not at all happy with the new teachers and have to deal with "hurricane Ruby", LOL, because they MAKE her put ketchup or ranch dressing on her plate. Long story, I'll spare you all the details for now, LOL.
Umm, my neighbors are still driving me crazy. We've made a few good friends here and most always have someone willing to give us a ride somewhere or babysit whenever we need it, so it's not all bad. Unfortunately the landlord is just a few notches above a slum lord, and I've had it. I'll be calling the FHA soon if this keeps up. I know it's horrible, but things are getting bad.
Anyways, I'm rambling now, LOL. I promise to come around more often now that both kids are in school and I have a little time to myself - when I'm not unpacking or cleaning that is!
Hi there and welcome back!I am sorry that your new place hasn't gotten any better.I was hoping for you and your kiddos that this place would have gotten better.I am sorry to hear that you are having some difficulties with the head start teacher. Will this be Ruby's last year of head start? Why do they make her put ranch dressing and ketchup on her plate?I sub for head start hear and none of the teachers here make the kids do that.Btw I love working with the head start kiddos they are so cute I love that age group.
I am sorry to hear about your neighbors. Its tough when you live next to one that is hard to deal with.I have no idea what fha is but hope it doesn't come to that and the landlord cleans up his act. Please do come back and let us know how you and your family is doing.
Well, all I can say is that Sammy must be quite a catch! LOL
Glad that things are getting even again. Ahhhhhhh, bowling with kids. I remember those days. I was soooooooo happy when my sister, whose labor coach I was, decided to go into labor when I was on a bowling field trip with one of my kids one time. LOL I'm sure it'll be a blast, though!
Sorry that the housing situation isn't getting better. I know that you had trouble finding a place. Any chance that you could look for somewhere else in the near future. At least you'd still be partly packed for the move. ;)
