I tried posting yesterday, but it didn't go through. Thanks for the warm welcome. In my attempted post I'd mentioned that the next day (Thu.) I went over to the school supposedly to meet the ECI transition coordinator, but instead I ended up talking to the diagnostician. Later I found out that the meeting was canceled and rescheduled for next Wed. AM. The coordinator explained to me that the rules have changed where a transition meeting can be held without a representative from the prospective school being present. So we'd had it a week before Christmas. The upcoming one from what I was told is the site visit. The ARD one has yet to be scheduled. Next Wed. he'll be getting his AFOs. That's all for now as I'm still not fully recovered. I'm getting over the self-blame, but at least it's not as bad now. Thanx again!!

Hi Jen!

Don't be too hard on yourself. You are doing a great job. Changing over into the school system is not easy and you are sure to encounter a few bumps in the road along the way. Once everything is in place then your life will get back to normal.

How are the AFO's going? If there is redness after they are removed for more than 20 minutes you should consult with your PT to see if they can adjust the fit. Does your child like to wear them?
