Joel had a really bad night terror a couple nights ago. It scared me to death. He had them years ago and they were just like this only much shorter, usually 20-30 minutes. He had them every single night, several times a night, for months until we found medication that worked for him. Eventually we were able to wean him off the meds. Well, this one lasted over 2 hours. It was absolutely horrible, and then he had another one a couple hours later, for about 45 minutes.
I talked to the ped the next day, who referred me all over God's green acre until I finally talked to a neurologist on call who said let's increase his migraine medication (which can't hurt because he's having migraines again too lately) and see what happens. (The meds he took before and the stuff he takes now both suppress the central nervous system, so he can't take them both) Well...we tried it and so far so good. (Fingers crossed tightly as I say this)
It's always something, isn't it?
