Hi everyone. My son had ? Kawasaki disease in May 2003 when he was 16 months old and was very sick. At his checkup in Aug the dr did a complement blood test to check his immunity and it came back low. She said that he was open to all kinds of infections and viruses at that time but not to get concerned unless another one comes back the same way. He had another test done 2 weeks ago and it came back low again and he has to go to an immune specalist. I wasn't home when the dr called and she left the message on the machine so I didnt' get to talk to her and ask questions. What does a low complement level mean? He had IVIG in June when he was really sick and I was wondering how long that will last to keep him healthy? I have so many questions and noone to ask! Do I have to keep him away from crowds? I was going to take him to a halloween party today but it is the flu season and I am afraid to take him that he may get sick. Any one have experience with this?
