That cake sounds good, Jan!

Taco Dip
Spread 8 oz of cream cheese over the bottom of a casserole or cake pan. Pour salsa over the top - how ever much looks good, I think we use about 1/2 jar? Then put on some shredded lettuce, tomatoes and cheddar cheese - however much of each you like. Some people like to add olives, but I don't. This is really good as a dip with nacho chips. Getting hungry just thinking about it, LOL.

Grandma's "Secret" peanut butter cookies (also found on the back of a pb jar, LOL)

1 cup peanut butter (skippy or jif works best, I don't reccomend generic brands)
1 egg
1 cup sugar

Mix all ingredients together, roll dough into small balls and flatten with fork. Bake in 350 oven about 9 minutes. These turn out best when very slightly underbaked, so they're still soft.

Here's a yummy chicken and vegetable recipe my mil gave me. My family loves it and it's easy to make.

Pre heat the oven to 400 degrees.

Use a baking dish and line it with foil.

Place in boneless skinless chicken.

Then put in your favorite veggies.

We like to use broccoli, carrots, new potatoes, onions, tomatoes, and bell peepers in ours but use what ever veggies your family likes.

Put salt and pepper on top with two tablespoons of butter. Cover with foil and cook approx. One hour to one hour 10 min. Make sure chicken is well done it should fall apart just like the veggies should be really tender. Dawn

Yep this is the dish I mentioned last week. I still haven't cooked it yet. I went shopping on Sunday and picked up all the ingredients. I was going to cook it on Sunday but Devin begged for me to cook tacos last night. So that's what I cooked and tonight dh took us out for all you can eat Chinese food. So I might cook it tomorrow night to eat on Wed since dh has a class
