School bus update!!!

I got a call today - Ruby is getting picked up at 7:39 and dropped off at 12:01 starting Monday. That's pretty good news. What's better is that she leaves the same time Sammy does (no more taking Ruby down, running up and grabbing Sammy to go down and then going back up) and she will get dropped off AFTER my show. In 3 seasons of watching Starting Over, I've never made it through an episode without having to get someone on or off the school bus.
There was no Head Start this week, and Ruby only went one day the week before, so I cannot wait until Monday. I hope the anticipation doesn't kill me, LOL.

Yep. It was late and came from the opposite direction, so Ruby pitched a fit about getting on. I had to bribe her by coming to visit later. I should have known it wouldn't be pretty when the teacher said she didn't know who was riding the bus and who was being picked up. Um, hello, go print out your list! The bus can't get up to the door at school because of the parents dropping off and picking up kids and its a cluster because the teachers haven't set up a system with the drivers for dropping off the pm kids and picking up the am kids. I rode the school bus home, which confused the drivers, they couldn't figure out how I got there. That was the funny part. We're on the bus and the monitor asks if I know where E-Sock is. Hmmm, who the heck is E-sock, LOL. I figured out she meant Isaac because we were at his house. Then she tells him to answer her when she calls him. The driver doesn't speak english any better. I think it's thier accents, not really thier english skills, KWIM. Went by the same grocery store 3 times, then she stops ands waits for I don't know what. The driver says this is Rubys' house. I say no it's not. She repeats herself, the monitor says no it's not. She repeats herself again, I say this is X street, we live on Y street. (I remember saying the child's name, addy, and contact numbers should be on the time sheet they use every day back when Sammy went)
I shouldn't complain, there IS a bus after all. But with the new drivers not knowing where they are going, thier thick accents and everything, well, I hope they get it together soon.
