Hello everyone. I have a quick question and I appreciate any input you can give. I AM NOT selling anything; I genuinely need advice from people who have experience with this. I am looking to start tutoring again. Basically, reinforcing school work/ IEP goals or whatever the parent requests. I have a dual cert. in special and elementary ed and lots of experience working with diverse populations from preschool disabilities to high school resource room LD. My question? What is a fair price to charge by the hour for a special needs child? I thought around thirty dollars per hour. But people tell me others charge much more. I guess I just don't want to look like an idiot so if anyone knows "the going rate"....I want to be fair and not rob anyone, but I don't want to be underpaid either....Hope this doesn't seem inappropriate. Thanks, Kelly

If you are charing by the hour, like other tutors, you should charge the same for special needs children as is charged for typical children.
