We are not doing all that well. My dd, who has an undiagnosed form of muscular dystrophy, also suffers from anxiety, depression and emotional troubles. Things with her have been steadily going downhill to the point where I freeze whenever I hear her get up in the morning and just wait for the first blow out. She is away at ELKs camp this week, thank goodness, I really need the break. I am finding it very very difficult to like my own child and her behavior is affecting the whole family. My middle daughter doesn't invite friends over anymore and walks around looking very sad. I was in the process of looking for a therapist for the family when it happened AGAIN...my husband was laid off. He was out for about 6 months last year, had this job for almost exactly a year and was laid off on Tuesday. So far we are telling the kids that he is working from home but don't know how long we can go on deceiving them. My older daughter would not be able to handle this and with things being so bad already we arn't sure what to do. I'm not sure I can go through this again. There is so much stress and adding the job situation to it is going to be hell. I have not held a paying job in 14 years so I don't have much chance of getting anything other than asking if you want fries with that which would not even pay child care. We do not qualify for ssi or any sort of assistance and I'm still trying to get my dd a scooter so she can function in highschool in September. Things are really not going well. Hope things are better with others. Denise
