I'd like to download some apps to our iPad that can help with speech therapy and work on different sounds.  Does anyone know of some good ones?  Sometimes they take practicing better when it's a game versus actual work ;)

Hi! I'm not sure how accurate this is, but I came across a spread sheet on google that lists a bunch of them (I didn't click any to see if the info listed is still valid though).

Ipad Apps

It is for autism, but a lot of Autistic kids have some kind of communication issue. The spread sheet lists why the app is good/what it's good for. There are some good options on there.

With my sons speech issues, I've found books to be a good help. Not just in reading them, but also stopping to go over the pictures and say something like "Ooh, he looks angry! Why do you think he looks angry?"

There is a great blog called Sync Up Autism that features aps and technology for kids on the autism spectrum: http://mosswoodconnections.com/blogs-2/. There are so many new apps coming out every day and many of them are incredibly useful!
