Let's give LTP a try--if the thread gets long, we'll just go into part 2 and then 3 and so on :) And the winner of LTP for this month is also LTP for 2012! So lets get to chatting!

Lets see, today I will come home and make some phone calls and get some cleaning done while JJ is in school. After I pick him up, we will come home, have lunch, then I will do some wrapping during his nap time.

Did I mention JJ starts the 5 hour preschool day starting January 2?  I am excited for him to have more time to learn, and even having so much time to get things done each day.  But the lack of/change in nap time has me a bit nervous.  Not sure how that is going to go yet.

I like the old Miracle on 34th Street better but I like both versions.

When Shayne had his knee surgery they put him in one of those warming gowns too. It is weird how people have different reactions to general anesthetic. I've been put under once, for my wisdom teeth, when I came out of it I was a giggle machine until I saw DH then I started bawling. He was so stressed. lol

Cindy I would be very tempted to resign from the nursery as soon as I could in good conscience do it.

Cindy, I hope things will go smoothly in the long run. I imagine there will be an adjustment period. Tim got pretty grumpy right after school for the first week or so, then settled in and would be good once he was refueled from a snack at home. Hopefully there's a naptime at JJ"s school too - I remember being awake during naptime at my preschool...

Leona, I have both versions of the movie as well and prefer the original one. :)

I am definitely tempted..believe me! One of the ladies I called did leave me a message last night saying she can cover for me on Sunday. So I will call her back this morning to confirm it. I am giving the nursery on "probation" period. If anything else happens, I am out of there I think.

Becca - JJ's preschool does not have a naptime. I discussed it with the teacher actually. She said they used to have a naptime. However, since they are state funded, they have to follow their guidelines. It had something to do with the children have to be actively learning for 5 hours, so when they had a naptime, they were breaking the contract and could have gotten in trouble. However, she also said that if JJ has difficulties at first, there is a little couch for him to lay on if he needs to.

I have not been babysitting last week or this week.  My Friday family is doesn't need me now that the mom is done teaching on Fridays.  I may not have them back on a regular basis until Spring.  The other family doesn't need me because the father had his toe broken at work.  So he is off for a while..not sure how long.  I'm sorry for his foot, but I do really appreciate the break.  I was getting worn out.

Today's plans...clean the bathroom while JJ is in school. I will actually have EXTRA time to do some cleaning up, then I am headed to the library. I will get myself some books, books and dvds for the kids, and then grab an eggnog coffee on the way out. Then off to pick up my little man. :)
