Let's give LTP a try--if the thread gets long, we'll just go into part 2 and then 3 and so on :) And the winner of LTP for this month is also LTP for 2012! So lets get to chatting!

Cindy, I'm sorry you have to deal with that from FIL and his wife. Definitely not fair and loving as family should be! I hope the kids don't pick up on it, and things change before they're old enough to realise! Lots of hugs for you during the holidays!

We are going to dh's father and step mom's house for dinner tonight.  I am so not looking forward to it.  I know that sounds rude, but they are just not nice to our children.  They sent the kids a check for Christmas, then turned around and sent tons of gifts down to dh's stepmom's grandson.  It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't feel the need to tell us that they are sending so much down, that it cost a ton of money.  It hurts to know that the cost of shipping alone cost as much as the check mailed to my children.  Plus, it just doesn't make sense to me why they would mail a check to the kids that live 15 minutes away!  To me it shows a lack of caring, like they just didn't want to put any time into getting gifts for their grandkids.  They did the same exact thing to bil and his two boys.    Frustrating Undecided  Anyways, so now I get to spend the evening seeing the TONS of pics of that grandson all over the house, and none of our kids anywhere.

I am happy to say I was actually able to get everything wrapped during this horrible week.  We are staying home from church this morning.  JJ still has a bit of a cold, and the snow is kind of yucky.  I really don't like snow driving.  :(

Leona - Julia's party was Polar Express theme as well. They also wore their jammies to school. They were all so cute! Some schools here don't allow home made treats either. Julia's school does. I actually don't blame the schools for not allowing them though.

I was busy yesterday with cleaning and wrapping gifts in the evening. Today we got out to see The Hobbit :) and the boys were with the ILs. The amount of sugar they ingested made them a bit off when we got home (plus napping on the ride home) but eventually they got to bed. I might be headed there soon so I'm refreshed for church in the morning!

Knowing touch typing on the US layout makes it difficult to use the multlingual keyboard easily. I didn't think of that myself when I was buying, just knew I wanted the same thing I'd always used. After Hubby complained about his work laptop, and then I tried my parents' computers, I realised I'd made the right decision sticking with what I know.
