Does anyone read James Patterson?

I bid on an EBay auction of the first 8 Women's Murder Club novels without checking what shipping would be like to Canada. Now that I won them, I'm finding it's a bit of a hassle because there's no cheap rate crossing the border like your Media Mail.

Just wondering if anyone would like the set. You could email me at becca_carter@yahoo.ca with your mailing address or PM me if that's more comfortable for you. Then I'd have them shipped to you instead of bothering with trying to find a good way to get them north. I'd love to make a fellow CSP mum happy with good reading material, so speak up if you do want them. Otherwise, I'll keep plugging away on a possible solution to my quandry!

All righty, looks like I have an available U.S. address and can take advantage of Medial Mail.

I'm still up for sending the books to anyone here if you speak up today - that would save me the nervousness of going across the border. (Usually the Canadian border guards make me feel more nervous when I'm coming back. Shouldn't I feel welcome back in my own country? LOL)

I always found that if I have all my receipts in hand as I approach the border the guards always go easy on me, since I'm not trying to put something over on them. As long as I stay friendly and honest I've never had an issue.

Actually, there's only one guy that seems to be a real problem, but seeing him a few times has made me nervous all the time! Apparently he's known for making comments about people buying products outside of Canada, so he's a stickler for finding out country of origin and that means it takes longer to get back across.

Last time I went, there was a new guy and he seemed fascinated with Hubby's gaming dice, so he took his time looking through the parcel but was really nice about everything. And since it was a quiet time without anyone behind me, he didn't make me get out of the car with two little ones. :)
