I still can't get into preferences to get a siggy. I tried the thing with using a different email, and still no good. I feel naked. :(

I'm so glad it is Saturday.  However, Julia has another birthday party to go to today, and I am waiting to see if dh is stuck at work or not.  I really don't want to take JJ to the bowling alley for 2 hours.  Especially since it is right during nap time.  He doesn't nap all of the time anymore though.  So I think he is transitioning out of them.

I should get going.  I need to go wrap the gifts, and clean Dory the hamster's cage while she is out doing her "ball time."  She had a growth spurt, and needs a bigger cage.  Since I can't afford it quite yet, she gets extra "ball time" for the exercise.

Darcy - Somehow I've never seen more than a clip of Dr. Oz. I've read some of his advice in iVillage slideshows about health or beneficial foods, but otherwise I just see the name and think it sounds kinda gimmicky. Naughty me for jumping to conclusions!

It's clear to me since my first mention here that my problem with anger isn't something to ignore in myself. I'm hoping the nature of our Bible study book (dealing with Satan's lies) will help me as I get to the root of the issue. I suspect it's partly about a desire for control over my kids, when I know Who should really have the control.

Prayers for the flu to get out of your house soon and skip over the rest of you! I'm wondering if our fall flu vaccinations are the reason I didn't have it bad recently and the boys weren't sick at all. Hubby was the only one not to get the vaccine and he had a bad time with what he's calling "the flu of doom." (He had no gaming night and no carpooling this past week because of others being sick.)

Lindy - I'll tell our early-spring weather to branch over to you as well. Our snow is showing signs of melting, though there's so much piled up it's going to need lots of sun and warmth!

Cindy - I've identified one time where the temptation to be harsh is high - early morning, especially when I haven't eaten yet. Must take good care of myself and reduce potential stressors. I'd rather be the laid-back mum than the one flying off the handle suddenly, as my mum did when I was young.

Do you get any other errors with your preferences, Cindy, or just the one about the email address already taken? After I changed my email address as suggested (and it may have taken a day or so for the system to process that change) I got other preference errors and just stepped through them one at a time, changing whatever was apparently wrong with my account. Finally, no more errors!

I know the frustration of the transition time. Ben rarely naps at home, but he'll fall asleep in the car if he's been socially busy or woke up too early. I can't let him sleep long or bedtime will be awful and he'll also wake up early the next morning. He appears to be so close to not needing extra sleep! Not sure I like the idea that there's no quiet time I can enjoy in the afternoon. ;)

Becca - I mostly get the email error thing.  But with certain browsers, it doesn't load at all.   I don't really have time to mess with it lately.  I will focus on it more when I have time to sit at the desktop.

Julia is sick again.  It's not asthma this time.  She has been comlpaining of her stomach all day, and tonight she had a fever.  I left a message with the mom that I am babysitting for tomorrow.  Hopefully she gets it soon.  Luckily, dh will be home so I can still get my grocery and Valentine day shopping done.

I understand the inconsistent behaviour with different browsers - the same happens here and I've just gotten used to it. I hope that the errors will be gone by the time you're able to access the settings with your desktop!

Hoping Julia bounces back quickly. I'm glad you won't need to stress about your Monday plans.

Today was pretty relaxing. Got to church on time, enjoyed the service and some bonus cuddles from Ben before Sunday school :) and then Hubby made us lunch when we got home. We went to the park for a little while and even though I was a bit chilled, it was fun to watch the boys having a blast. I made drumsticks, mashed potatoes and steamed carrots for supper - yum yum! - and we watched Wishbone, Fresh Prince and even Home Improvement. Yes, we like our retro TV and the boys do too. :D Now they're in bed, Hubby went on a Slurpee run and I'm going to read with some knitting later. (Gotta finish off one small cloth and continue another or try the purl stitch for the first time.)

Becca - That sounds like a nice Sunday.  I had two people try to talk me into bringing Julia to church on Sunday nights for Kidz Club.  I'm sure it would be fun, but Sunday night is our only night that all four of us are here together. Dh is off Monday night too, but he is gone bowling.  So no way am I going to mess up our family time.  :)

I finally received an email from the mom in charge of planning parties in Julia's class.  I hadn't heard anything, so I bought all the stuff to make some cute Valentine day red velvet cupcakes.  Then tonight I learn we are doing an ice cream sundae party.  It will be tons of fun I'm sure, but now I have the fixins for about 4 dozen cupcakes..lol  So I will run to the store on Wednesday for some chocolate ice cream, and whatever else is still needed for the party.  I will still make cupcakes for my kiddos on Thursday, and have enough for Friday when I get some extra kiddos.  :)
